School Calendar
The school calendar mirrors the Plano Independent School District's academic year with the exception that Montessori New Beginnings Academy does not release students early on the last day of school prior to fall, holiday, or spring breaks. Additionally, Montessori New Beginnings Academy's classes are typically not in session for two additional in-service days for parent conferences and teacher continuing education.

Our academic year schedule (August through the following May) is generally published the same month PISD announces its schedule. Our summer session calendar and schedule of activities (June and July sessions) are published no later than the preceding April.

Administrative Hours
The school's front office hours during the academic year (August through May) are Monday through Friday from 8:15 am until 4:30 p.m. The office is closed when school is not in session. Summer (June and July) office hours are from 9:00 am until 3:00 p.m.
Program Hours
During the academic year and during the summer sessions we have programs underway Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 p.m. Program hours are not only age appropriate, but convenient for busy parents.

Extended Hours Program

  • Morning Care – 7:30 am to 8:45 a.m.
  • After School – 3:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Toddler Preparatory Program – 18 months to 3 years of age

  • Morning Program – 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
  • Full Day Toddler Program – 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Pre-Primary Curriculum – 3 to 6 years of age

  • Morning Montessori Program (3 to 6 years of age) – 8:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
  • Montessori/Transitional Program (3 to 4 ½ years of age) – 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
  • Full Day Montessori Program (4 ½ to 6 years of age) – 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
